Beyond Traditional Waxes and Sealants
What Exactly Is Ceramic Coating?
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that is applied by hand to the exterior of a vehicle. It chemically bonds with the vehicle’s factory paint, creating a semi permanent layer of strength and a deep, candy like gloss. This layer shields your vehicle’s paint from environmental damage such as chemicals and debris.

It’s All in the Details
Our Ceramic Coating Process
Applying a professional grade ceramic coating is a craft, and we take it seriously. A flawless application is the only kind of application we do. Getting those incredible results requires a thorough and precise process.
- Decontamination Wash: First, we give your vehicle a meticulous hand wash to remove all loose dirt and grime. We then use a clay bar and iron fallout remover to get rid of any embedded contaminants that you can’t see but can definitely feel. The paint must be perfectly pure.
- Paint Correction: This is the most critical step. We machine polish the paint to remove imperfections like swirl marks, fine scratches, and oxidation. This creates a perfectly smooth, mirror like surface for the coating to bond with. Skipping this step is like painting over a dirty wall; you just trap the flaws underneath.
- Surface Prep: Once the paint is flawless, we do a final wipe down with a special panel prep spray. This removes any polishing oils or residues, ensuring the surface is completely bare and ready for the coating.
- Coating Application: Finally, the main event. Our trained technicians carefully apply the ceramic coating to every painted surface, 1 small section at a time. We work with precision and focus to ensure a perfectly even layer.
- Curing Time: After application, the coating needs time to cure. We keep the vehicle in our controlled environment to allow the coating to fully harden and bond with the paint.

More Shine, Less Grime
The Perks of a Ceramic Coated Vehicle
Intense Gloss and Depth
A ceramic coating enhances the reflective properties of your car’s paint. The result is a rich, deep shine that makes the color pop in a way that waxes and sealants just can’t match.
Effortless Cleaning
The surface of a ceramic coating is extremely slick and hydrophobic. This means water beads up and slides right off, taking dirt and grime with it. Your car stays cleaner for longer, and when it is time for a wash, cleaning is much faster and easier, offering unmatched convenience and ease for your maintenance routine. Bird droppings, bug splatters, and tree sap are much less likely to stick to the surface.
Stands Up to the Elements
This durable barrier helps your paint withstand the daily onslaught of environmental contaminants. It prevents UV damage that causes fading, oxidation from the sun, and staining from acidic rain or mineral deposits. It adds a formidable defense against common blemishes.

Your Questions, Answered
Ceramic Coating FAQs
How long does a ceramic coating last?
With proper maintenance, a professional grade ceramic coating from us can last for years, not months. The exact lifespan depends on the specific coating package you choose, how you care for the vehicle, and the conditions it's exposed to. It's a long term investment in your vehicle's appearance.
Can I still wash my car like normal?
Yes, but you'll find it's much easier. The best way to maintain your coating is with regular hand washing using a pH neutral soap, like the service we provide here at Enzo's. We recommend avoiding automatic car washes that use harsh brushes, as they can abrade the coating over time.
Is a ceramic coating scratch proof?
No. This is a common misconception. A ceramic coating offers an enhanced level of scratch resistance against very fine swirl marks and wash marring. It will not make your car immune to rock chips, deep scratches from keys, or damage from a fender bender. Think of it as a top of the line screen safeguard for your phone, not a bulletproof case.
Do I still need to wax my car?
Nope! A ceramic coating replaces the need for waxing. The coating itself provides a much higher level of gloss and durability than any wax or sealant. You can put the wax applicator away for good
Can you apply a ceramic coating to a brand new car?
Absolutely. In fact, it's the best time to do it. Applying a coating when the car is new ensures the factory paint is preserved in its best possible condition from day one. Even brand new cars can have minor imperfections from transport and dealership prep, which we will correct before applying the coating.
